summertime.

Well....it has been a while. Sorry....my hard drive crashed on my computer. Luckily we had backed up all of my pictures and files before it crashed or I would have lost everything, that would have been a really sad day!
We have been staying really busy. Does anyone else feel like it should be June still?? This summer has flown by!!!! We have an even busier August, September and October already.

I wanted to add in a couple of prayer requests. My heart has been really burdened for these people. #1....My grandfather has recently found out that he has a terminal blood disorder. He has had several blood transfusions that make him feel better, but can only get so many of those. He is going to start this medication that will prolong the time between transfusions, but it has some pretty bad side effects. Please just pray for him and my grandmother and they live through this. All of our days are numbered....but it is hard to live knowing that that number of days is quickly falling. Please pray for my grandfather as his biggest struggle is knowing and worrying about leaving my grandmother alone. God bless him. #2....A friend of ours, Derek Rivers, in currently undergoing a heart transplant tonight. He is only 20 years old I think. He is a 2 year cancer survivor. The chemo that he took has, 2 years later, caused major damage to his heart. He has been at Duke for over 3 weeks now...hooked up to a pump that is assisting his heart and keeping him alive. The only solution is a transplant. Praise the Lord for providing a heart so quickly!!! Let's pray for the surgeons and nurses as Derek is in surgery RIGHT NOW as I type. The recovery will be a long process. Oh and his sister is getting married in 4 days. That's right this Saturday!!! It is a really hard time for the Rivers family right now. But they are trusting in the Lord with all that they have. God, pour your grace and love and healing Spirit over them now...please! #3....my Aunt Susan has been in and out of the hospital for several weeks. She went in because she had an artery leaking into her stomach. They have since discovered that she has breast cancer. The cancer has actually spread into her spine and several other places. She needs lots of prayer!!! She started chemo today.
I can already feel the Lord working mightily in these situations. Praise Him for His mighty works.
