springin' it

I am just loving the blooming of trees and flowers (despite the pollen) and the weather (prior to last week)! I just feel so much more alive when Spring rolls around; it's such a breath of fresh air. Looks like we have some splendid weather in store for next week!

TWO years. It has flown by. But at the same time March 21, 2009 seems so long ago. We have had two fabulous years of marriage. The Lord has taught us so much about himself, each other, and ourselves individually. It is a beautiful thing. We are constantly reminded of how blessed we are.
To celebrate, we spent a weekend in DC. It was my first time actually touring the city, and Chris hadn't been in a long time. So we did all of the tourist things that we could do in 2 days. Let me just say that I love DC - 1) it is so clean 2) it is very green 3) the buildings are monumental, and I love that there are not any high-rises, which contributes to the open feel of the city 4) it is so rich with history and gives you a sense of being an American and what our forefathers went through to get us to the place that we are (though we question that every day now, we indeed, have come a LONG way.) We walked and walked and looked and looked for 2 solid days, and had a blast!

Here are some pics from DC and from last weekend when I went home to MHC:
