It has been pretty smokey around here lately. An unattended campfire started a large forest fire 20 miles north of Pinedale. It has been pretty cool at night being able to see the flames hundreds of feet in the air and the huge orange glow of the fire. The fire has been burning since July 29 and if finally 90% contained. It has burned almost 12000 acres so far. We have had rain for the past couple of nights for the first time in a couple of months so that has really helped put out the fire.
